#BamaRush, the summertime TikTok sensation, is getting its own HBO documentary. Alabama’s rush was not the same this year thanks to the looming paranoia that some of the sororities would be secretly filmed. In 2021, #BamaRush took Gen Z’s favorite app by storm—but for the 2022 season, head members strictly advised potential new members against posting anything on their social media. Several girls were even dropped from participating in recruitment altogether due to accusations that they were wearing a mic and wire. HBO Max and Vice studios wrapped filming last week and dished that the film will be about, “college life, sisterhood, and all the joys and complexities of what it means to be a young woman today, following several women from the University of Alabama.” (Teen Vogue)
