Aspire is flipping the script by letting influencers decide which brands they want to work with. When social media first emerged, creators were lucky to get sponsorships, but with their popularity now, both brands and influencers need to consider each other’s goals when engaging in a brand partnership. In an influencer dominated world, more and more are realizing the power they hold and know that a brand partnership is “an extension of their own personal branding.” Ultimately, Aspire is helping brands by saving them time on scouting for the perfect fit. They’ll get access to “proposals from creators, experts, and other influencers across a range of channels…[and] creator reviews, engagement, metrics, and collaboration history for anyone who submits a proposal.” YPulse’s Celebrities and Influencers report shows 53% of Gen Z and Millennials agree: “If someone posts an endorsement for a brand, I believe they actually like that brand.” (PSFK)
