Netflix launched a metaverse experience based on their summer hit The Gray Man. Netflix is hellbent on continuing the gamification of entertainment, despite recent data showing barely 1% of their subscribers are actually playing the games they’re rolling out. This time however, Netflix is partnering up with another platform, creating an immersive experience in Decentraland. Considered a “metaverse mission,” the game introduces players with an instructional video from Ryan Gosling and sends them through a maze that replicates the one featured in the movie. Users are encouraged to complete the maze as quickly as possible for the chance to win digital prizes along the way.
