Sustainability is important to young consumers, so Blueland is helping them recycle any beauty product. Skincare brand Blueland found that not many beauty brands disclose whether or not their packaging is recyclable, let alone what materials they’re made out of in the first place. This prompted Blueland to create their “Beyond the Bottle” campaign, where any Twitter user will be able to “tweet at the brand with a picture of a product and its name, as well as where they live” (because recycling rules vary depending on location) and “Blueland will reply with whether or not the product can be recycled and, if so, how to do it.” The brand is also releasing their very first facial cleanser along with the campaign, but say they’re about more than just selling products, and want to make an impact on broader industries. YPulse research shows 57% of Gen Z thinks brands should develop more eco-friendly packaging and 41% think brands should educate consumers on being eco-friendly. (Glossy)
