Great Clips and NFL star Drew Brees are teaching young dads the “back-to-school playbook” for their kids’ haircuts. Great Clips is recognizing that since the pandemic, more dads are staying home, forcing them to reevaluate their work-life balances and in turn, spending more time with their kids. As a father of four, Drew Brees wants to encourage dads to build their kids’ confidence by taking them to get a haircut at Great Clips before they head back to school. Other Millennial dad influencers such as Dumb Dads, the Busby Family, The Bramfam, and Burton B Buffaloe will be showcasing Great Clips’ easy-to-use back to school functions like “Online Check-In, ReadyNext text alerts, which notify customers when their estimated wait time reaches 15 minutes, and ClipNotes, which saves each customer’s haircut preferences.” YPulse’s Back to School report shows that Millennial parents spend a few hundred dollars each year for their childrens’ school shopping—and that’s only for clothes/supplies. However, factoring in beauty and personal care costs are something to think about in order for kids to feel confident in school. (The Drum)
