Gen Z and Millennials are relying on AR to boost their ecommerce shopping experiences. According to a study by Vertebrae (a subsidiary of Snap Inc.), 40% of Gen Z and Millennials are “browsing and buying goods online daily or even multiple times per day.” Yet, their biggest shopping concerns revolve around whether items will fit their space or arrive looking like what they expected. This is where immersive features like augmented reality come into play, with 39% of young consumers saying AR tools have increased their likelihood of purchase. Gen Z and Millennials are mostly using AR in their home spaces, but a growing number are also using the tools to test fashion and beauty products. YPulse research shows that brands need to have more AR experiences and the majority (79%) of young consumers are particularly interested in AR try-ons. (TotalRetail)
