Jul 21 2022

Most parents are worried about paying for their child’s education. YPulse’s Education research shows that the majority of young people who are interested in college believe their parents will be paying for it, but 53% of Millennial parents agree “I won’t be able to pay for my child’s college education.” They aren’t alone: According to a study by Discover Financial Services, 66% of parents with kids planning to go to college are worried about paying for that education, and 55% are stressed about rising tuition. Nearly a third report that they didn’t start saving early enough. Meanwhile, 54% say they intend to fund their child’s higher ed costs through scholarships, a 7% increase from 2021. Inflation and a potential recession are also major concerns for many. (Financial Advisor)
