And now these video game-loving Millennial fams will have a new destination to explore: a Super Nintendo theme park is opening up in 2023. Universal Studios Hollywood is planning to have Super Nintendo World finished and ready for visitors next year, making it the first Nintendo theme park in the U.S., after Super Nintendo World Japan opened in 2021. The U.S. park will include Nintendo-themed rides, games and immersive experiences, including Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, which puts riders in Mario hats and AR goggles as they complete “iconic Mario Kart courses alongside Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach.” YPulse’s Gaming research shows that Mario is one of Millennial parents’ top favorite video games, and the new park could be a popular destination for these families.
