YPulse’s sports and athletics report found that 24% of Asian young consumers say basketball is their favorite sport to watch compared to 14% of White / non-Hispanic young consumers. And former NBA point guard Jeremy Lin is launching a basketball school “with the aim of motivating the next generation of young ballers of Asian descent.” Lin partnered with the Canadian Chinese Youth Athletic Association to open several programs in Toronto (his home city) later this year.
