Gen Z is reimagining traditional hustle culture and entrepreneurship. Data collected by corporate giant Microsoft shows the gen is taking entrepreneurship to the next level: “Nearly half of Gen Z, about 48%, have numerous side hustles” and those “who use TikTok for their business (48%) are almost twice as likely to have multiple side hustles as those who do not (27%).” Young workers are taking their passions and turning them into money making opportunities, causing side hustles and multiple streams of income to be a norm. Showing off their passions on social media is a job in and of itself, having to come up with content, film, and actively engage with comments. YPulse’s Employment and Career Goals report data shows 75% of 13-39-year-olds say starting their own company is important to them when thinking about their future/career. (CNBC)
