A fully immersive Stranger Things pop-up store is opening in Paris. Netflix is known for its unique and immersive campaigns to promote its popular shows, including last year’s Money Heist stunt, which involved holding fans hostage on an airplane, and the promotion for the new season of The Witcher, which involved tapping the “magical powers” of real-life witches. Now, adding to its recent immersive Stranger Things campaign in London, the SVOD is opening a pop-up store and experience on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, which will allow Stranger Things superfans to explore the fictional world of Hawkins—and come home with some exclusive merch, of course. YPulse research shows that Netflix shows top young consumers’ list of favorite series, and the fourth season of Stranger Things is (yet again) breaking records on the platform. By adding experiential marketing and retail to its release, Netflix is strengthening the series’ fandoms—as well as love for the SVOD itself. (Vogue France)
