A new start-up is looking to target Gen Z and Millennials by adopting TikTok-style short form videos.YPulse recently explored apps borrowing TikTok’s formula for their own industries, from beauty to real estate, and now wndr wants to bring the format to travel and discovery. The app (pronounced “wander”) intends for users to easily find hotels, attractions, and restaurants through short video clips. Videos are both aggregated from social media and also can be posted directly by content creators, who will get a revenue share on bookings made. According to wndr’s CEO, young travelers are no longer looking to reviews, ratings, and pictures to decide where they want to travel, they are more often looking to influencers and video footage to decide where they will stay and what they will do there.
