Carter’s recruited Hilary Duff as its first-ever Chief Mom Officer, and the partnership will include limited-edition clothing collections for kids. YPulse’s celebrities and influencers research found that a third of Millennial parents say merch collaborations are the type of celebrity/influencer partnership they want to see. To reach them, childrenswear brand Carter’s appointed Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff as their first-ever Chief Mom Officer. As part of the long-term partnership, she will work as a parent consultant and creative director, curate shopping guides with tips and tricks for moms, and share relatable parenting content on social media. Duff will also design two limited-edition collections inspired by her “chic sense of style,” and will feature apparel and accessories for babies, as well as “a few surprises for mom.” The first Hilary Duff x Carter’s collection will be available early fall, with the second collection following in early 2023. According to Duff, she was “inspired by Carter’s mission and their commitment to inspire parents and future generations.” She added that while motherhood isn’t easy, she hopes to “be a source of light and inspiration for others” during their individual parenting journeys.
