Snapchat is reportedly adding parental control features. YPulse research found that Snapchat is one of the top platforms that kids use to watch video content—and according to a series of screenshots, Snapchat is developing a Family Center feature, which will allow parents to see who their kid is friends with on the app. Parents will have visibility into who their child has chatted with over the past week, though they won’t be able to view the actual content of the conversations. They will also be able to assist their children in reporting abuse or harassment. To use the feature and begin monitoring their children, parents have to invite their kid to the new in-app Family Center, where they can either accept or decline the invItation. While there’s no word when the feature will be available for testing, Snapchat has previously teased that the offering would arrive “in coming months.” (TechCrunch)
