Airbnb says working from anywhere is the new normal. In our What’s Next for Work Trend Report, YPulse found that COVID has changed work culture, with the majority of 13-39-year-olds who work in an office saying in five years they still want to work remotely or hybrid. Airbnb is in agreement and claims “the office, as we know it, is over.” After giving their own employees the flexibility to work from anywhere in the world, including up to 90 days a year in another country, Airbnb is bringing remote work perks to users as well. The app has been adding features, like longer trips split between multiple listings, that cater to “work-from-anywhere warriors.” The shift to remote and hybrid work culture is making waves, and 31% of young workers tell YPulse “I like my job, but would leave if something better came along,”—that something better is now very likely to be a position from home.
