Zizagoo x CoComelon and Qai Qai are the latest to join the NFT space, proving that they’re popping up everywhere in kids’ spaces. YPulse’s Buying Into Crypto and NFTs trend research found that 58% of Millennial parents would buy an NFT for their child. From Imagine Entertainment, to Bureau of Magic, to TIME Studios, and Xentrix Studios, kid-focused entertainment companies are getting into NFTs. Add Zigazoo to the list, who recently partnered with CoComelon on NFTs featuring JJ, the cartoon star of the show—which sold out almost immediately. Then, there’s Alexis Ohanian and Serena Williams, who launched NFTs of their daughter Olympia’s beloved doll, Qai Qai. While some Millennial parents are questioning whether young kids need an NFT, Zigazoo is attempting to build a strong case, with their mission emphasizing how they want to “empower kids to shape the very landscape and infrastructure of NFTs and Web3” and help them “express themselves through art and practice essential financial literacy skills” to become “tomorrow’s digital citizens.” (The platform also offers its own in-app currency dubbed “Zigabucks.”) (NYT)
