Urban Outfitters Europe is the latest brand to enter the metaverse with the launch of its first NFT. In honor of its 50th anniversary, Urban Outfitters is releasing 500 limited edition, collectible NFTs in partnership with graffiti artist André Saraiva, who is known for his signature Smiley logo. The NFTs will be available on NFT marketplace Omgdrops and will unlock exclusive prizes and awards for the owners, all of which will be announced over the next 10 weeks. YPulse’s (new!) WE Buying Into Crypto and NFTs trend report shows that a little over one in ten young Europeans have purchased an NFT—but far more are interested. And while many are buying into the space to secure their financial futures, young Europeans also want to see brands release NFT collabs that offer exclusive access to events and products—and, more than anything, they just want NFTs that look cool.
