Now, Ghosts star Utkarsh Ambudkar is developing, co-writing, producing, and co-starring in World’s Best, which will be directed by Roshan Sethi and tells the story of 12-year-old Prem (played by Manny Magnus), a math kid who discovers that his late father (portrayed by Ambudkar) was a great rapper, and decides to follow in his footsteps to become “the world’s best MC.” We told you that hip-hop / rap has rapidly become Gen Z’s favorite music genres—and Ambudkar’s upcoming movie is the latest example of how streaming services are incorporating the genre into their projects to reach young diverse audiences.
