Samsung is hosting a metaverse treasure hunt to build buzz for its Galaxy S22 launch. The “Galaxy S22 Treasure Hunt” is available on My House, a virtual world created by Samsung and Naver’s 3D avatar platform, Zepeto. Players can design their dream homes with Samsung products, host parties, and play games via My House, with the main event being the treasure hunt at Jeromy’s House where Galaxy S22 gift boxes will appear every 15 minutes for a limited time to allow players to win a Galaxy S22 smartphone, virtual fashion items, and more. The company notes that My House “saw over four million visitors in its first month” and is aimed at “engaging the large community of Gen Z and Millennial users who are exploring personalized experiences in the metaverse.” YPulse’s Metaverse trend research shows 82% of virtual world gamers have or are interested in participating in a game a brand sponsored.
