Estée Lauder and Forever 21 are some of the brands that are showing up big for Decentraland’s Metaverse Fashion Week.

Mar 25 2022

Estée Lauder and Forever 21 are some of the brands that are showing up big for Decentraland’s Metaverse Fashion Week. Yesterday (March 24) kicked off Metaverse Fashion Week in Decentraland, marking a major opportunity for brands to dish out virtual clothing and accessories, and experiment with metaverse retail. Estée Lauder is giving away 10,000 NFT-backed digital wearables that give avatars a “glowing aura”; Forever 21 rented 450,000 square-feet of space in Decentraland’s fashion district where it will house a virtual store featuring digital avatar sales associates selling 10 NFTs, which give users access to outfits for their avatars to wear / collect; and apparel retailer Cider created a Ciderland store where users can shop digital ‘fits and NFTs. YPulse’s Metaverse trend research found that over two in five young consumers who play virtual world games have purchased digital wearables, and they’re interested in engaging with brands in this space.
