Sustainable German fashion brand ARMEDANGELS is getting into the resale market. As young consumers continue evaluating their fashion choices’ impact on the environment (and their wallets), the $40 billion resale market is booming. Brands from Prada to Marks & Spencer to Burberry have opened their own secondhand marketplaces, and Depop continues to help define Gen Z’s style. Now, ARMEDANGELS is the latest clothing retailer to launch its own resale program, which will allow customers to sell their ARMEDANGELS items back to the brand in exchange for store credit—and will resell those items to new consumers. YPulse’s recent WE sustainability research found that the majority of young Europeans have changed some behavior to help fight climate change, including shopping secondhand and seeking more sustainable brands.
