Snoop Dogg is now a member of FaZe Clan. Dropping a major easter egg at his Super Bowl halftime show performance by flaunting a glittering letter F necklace (FaZe Clan’s logo), Snoop Dogg is officially joining the esports organization. The deal will see Snoop Dogg create content under the name FaZe Snoop and participate in FaZe initiatives like launching new merchandise and joining the board of directors when FaZe becomes a publicly-traded company (the organization is merging with B. Riley Principal 150 Merger Corp and plans to go public at some point this spring). The rapper was first introduced to FaZe Clan by his son Cordell, a proclaimed fan of the collective, and Snoop Dogg’s identity as a FaZe content creator will largely be aimed at launching initiatives to support at-risk youth. YPulse research shows one in five 13-39-year-olds watch esports, and FaZe Clan is one of the most popular groups giving young people a taste of the world of esports. (Tubefilter)
