Italian luxury house Bottega Veneta is using its global platform to support local makers (or “bottegas”) across Italy. YPulse’s luxury research shows that while young Europeans still aspire to enter the industry, they want luxury brands to favor relatability over exclusivity, causing heritage brands to get involved in new ventures like dabbling in the metaverse to partnering with hip-hop artists. At the same time, young people believe it’s the job of large corporations to give back to the community and focus on social good, including supporting local businesses. Bottega Veneta is hoping to reach young consumers on both levels with its latest campaign “Bottega for Bottegas,” which is aimed at celebrating Italy’s independent food, drink, and craft culture by handing over its digital and IRL platforms to 12 artisanal Italian businesses from all corners of the country, “providing ample room for them to shout and be seen.” (The Face)
