Fiverr is introducing a mentorship program to help college football players navigate name, image, and likeness (NIL) deals.

Dec 30 2021

Fiverr is introducing a mentorship program to help college football players navigate name, image, and likeness (NIL) deals. As brands continue launching programs to support college athletes amid changes to NIL deals earlier this year, Fiverr (an online freelance marketplace) is launching a mentorship program that pairs college football players with NFL players who played at their colleges / universities to help them learn how to make money through endorsements, sponsorships, and appearance fees. Fiverr is also leveraging members of its network to help college football players build their brand and offer up other guidance they may need. Kayvon Thibodeaux (a defensive end at the University of Oregon) and Arik Armstead (a defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers and former Duck) are the first two to be paired together in the program, with Armstead assisting Thibodeaux in creating his website design, alongside Fiverr freelancers, and helping with setting up the search engine optimization for his charity, The Jream Foundation. More collaborations are expected to be announced in early 2022. (AdAge)
