One in ten young Europeans are planning to quit their job for the siren song of TikTok. YPulse’s WE What’s Next for Work trend research found that The Great Resignation is happening in Western Europe, too, and our data shows that 20% of European Millennials quit their jobs in the past year in search of better opportunities and a healthier work-life balance. According to a recent survey of 12,000 young Europeans from Morgan Stanley, 10% hope to leave their job in the next six months to become a full-time influencer. The survey also found that one in three young Europeans already have a digital side hustle, including selling things online, creating social content, or trading NFTs. As the pandemic continues to make Gen Z and Millennials reassess their life priorities, turning their passion project into full-time gigs is looking more appealing—and possible. (Bloomberg)
