Gaming is becoming a more prominent family tradition. According to research from GetCenturyLink that surveyed 1,000 gamers 16-24-years-old, 55% of 16-24-year-olds say they want game night to be a family tradition while 39% say gaming is their absolute favorite way to spend time with family. Gaming as an entertainment source is growing among young consumers, with unexpected platforms like Netflix and Zoom even getting in on the hype while new services pop up to support young gamers’ relationships. YPulse’s latest gaming survey (our full gaming report will publish next month) shows that 66% of Gen Z and Millennials who play video games say the activity is more entertaining than watching TV or movies.
