Millennial parents want streaming services that make their kids feel comfort and belonging. YPulse has long known that Gen Z and Millennials are intentionally turning to media for mood boosts and other emotional fixes, but it looks like parents from these generations also want content to be a cure for their kids. According to a Family Room study, Millennial parents are choosing streaming services that “help kids relax, find comfort, feel like they belong and to feel independent.” Interestingly, families reportedly feel that different platforms offer different benefits, with Netflix viewed as a place they can have fun together and kids can explore passions, Amazon Prime Video as a place where they want to make memories together and relax, and YouTube Kids as a place for children to find self-care.
