Low sugar kids drinks are a growing market, thanks to Millennial parents.

Oct 14 2021

Low sugar kids drinks are a growing market, thanks to Millennial parents. Those health-hunting Millennial parents are at it again. Whole Foods market reports that parents of young children spend nearly 30 minutes a week reading food labels and considering the ingredients in the foods they give their kids (no wonder they don’t have time to read books), and YPulse’s cooking and diets research shows that 69% of Millennial parents often worry that their family is not eating enough healthy foods. Now the beverage market is catching up with their concerns, and major brands and startups alike are providing a bevy of healthy drink options for kids. This year, Coca-Cola introduced Frutly, a “hydrating juice water brand,” and Clover Sonoma introduced Clover the Rainbow, a fruit smoothie line. These new product lines join existing brands like unsweetened flavored water brand Hint, vitamin fortified zero sugar juice KidsLuv, and reduced sugar lemonade Poppilu, all fighting for shelf space.
