Instagram Live is kicking off a 10+ day live shopping series with celebrities. Featuring a diverse range of brands including Outdoor Voices, Aveda, Hologear, and Peloton, Instagram Live’s 10+ Days of Live Shopping event (September 1-19) is aiming to create “a casual and informal shopping experience” for young consumers. Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty brand will also be featured at the event, and celebrities including Kacey Musgraves and Lil Yachty will host live shopping events throughout the three week-long series. Consumers can participate by visiting the new Live destination on Instagram’s Shop tab, scoring access to exclusive releases, VIP conversations and performances, and the ability to connect directly with artists, celebrities, and creators. YPulse’s shopping and retail research shows that 66% of young consumers are interested in livestream shopping, and Instagram’s 10+ Days of Live Shopping could be a boon for both brands and their young fans.
