YouTuber couple Ant and Ana are building a “bilingual, multicultural” community of fans. With 1.29 million subscribers on their YouTube channel, high school sweethearts-turned-married couple Ant and Ana have shared everything from pranks to challenges to the “everdays of married life” primarily on the platform’s Shorts feature. Their devoted fans and followers are referred to as the “AAFAM,” and a lot of their content is centered on teaching and showing viewers how they merge their Hispanic and American cultures together. For instance, some of their most popular videos are from their “If you know, you know,” which usually features Anthony attempting to speak Spanish or translate something that Ana says in Spanish. YPulse’s celebrities and influences report found that 48% of 13-39-year-old BIPOC consumers follow an online celebrity, and as brands get familiar with BIPOC influencers to follow, Ant and Ana are ones to add to the growing list.
