Gender inclusive fashion is trending in kids’ clothing. YPulse’s Millennial Parenting report shows that 34% of Millennial parents have purchased gender-neutral clothing/toys, and more brands are catering to their preferences. More independent brands—including PANGAIA, Tenth and Pine, and Mini Rodini—are creating basics for kids that are not categorized by gender. While many mainstream retailers are a step behind, some are catching up, with Target and Nordstrom offering a gender neutral search option, and H&M offering gender neutral baby clothes. According to The Phluid Project, “Every retailer and brand is exploring this space with a full understanding that this is part of the future, especially if you are interested in capturing young consumers and young parents’ share of spend.” (InStyle)
