LEGO is launching a 3D animated series that kids can interact with in real time. Millennials’ (and their kids’) beloved toy brand is stepping into motion capture and real-time rendering for the first time in a three-part vlog-style series following the characters from the LEGO Ninjago series. Using the LEGO Life app, kids ages six-to-12-years-old can interact with the Ninja Vlogs series live by answering polls, asking the characters questions, and making their own LEGO creations that will be showcased throughout the episodes. New episodes will drop every other Friday until July 2. YPulse reported that “choose your own adventure” series (or shows that engage young viewers by letting them decide the fate of the show’s plot) are changing how kids watch TV, and LEGO’s experimentation with tech is part of the brand’s effort to help kids feel like they’re at the center of building the content they’re watching.
