Panera is giving away bikes with a Bread Bowl basket for Earth Day. Weird marketing has been especially popular in the last year, and Panera Bread is getting in on the trend—with a sustainable twist as a way to reach young consumers who care about climate change. As part of their Earth Day promotion, the restaurant chain is giving away an olive green bike that comes with an insulated basket inspired by their sourdough bread bowls. They’re encouraging consumers to fill the basket with any food of their choice, but preferably from their Cool Food Meals menu, which “have a low impact on the environment.” The brand is giving away 30 bikes, and interested customers can enter the giveaway via breadbowlbike.com until the end of the week.
