Avocados From Mexico just launched a sportswear line. As food brands get into the merch game, AFM is debuting “Avocado Nation,” a customer rewards program that offers loyalty incentives in the form of prizes like avocado-decorated sportswear clothing items, coupons, and original video content. Customers can enter a contest to win the limited edition clothes through loyalty points that can be obtained by either sharing on social media or submitting receipts from grocery store purchases. Additionally, the program uses machine learning to track customer preferences in the platform and aims to tap the data “to serve up a personalized experience to each user.” Another part of the program includes short-form video content like simple avocado-preparation tips and recipes as well as original mini-series with bite-sized episodes.
