Millennials are using TikTok to vent about toxic corporate work environments.

Apr 08 2021

Millennials are using TikTok to vent about toxic corporate work environments. It’s no secret that TikTok has become one of the biggest social platforms to be on during lockdowns, and home to some of the biggest trends. But in the last year, burnt out young employees have also been using it to create videos that speak to the “anxiety, frustration, and annoyance” that many of them feel about their jobs and careers. In their content, many creators satirize corporate jargon, poke fun at HR’s “lackluster attempts” to improve mental health, and reveal how young people are “increasingly questioning whether the 9-to-5 status quo is really all that healthy or desirable.” YPulse’s State of Mind trend report found that 61% of 20-38-year-olds are feeling more burnt out during COVID.
