Revolution Beauty is teaming up with TikTok to find their next beauty influencer. Last week, the U.K.-based trend-driven beauty company launched the hashtag #CreatorRevolution (which has 2 billion views) on TikTok, asking users to show their makeup talents across three distinct themes: “glow up,” “sink or swim,” and an undisclosed challenge that will be revealed in June. Participants will be narrowed down to 30 users by September and one winner will be announced in October. The winner will be selected by five to ten judges, including TikTok creator Abby Roberts—and the criteria for winning is based on creativity as well as engagement. According to the Revolution CEO: “Unlike YouTube, where it’s really hard for people to build their subscriptions [to the point] where we would notice them, TikTok facilitates that discovery in its infancy a lot easier.” (Glossy)
