Netflix is cracking down on password sharing users. YPulse research found that 32% of 13-39-year-olds use someone else’s password for streaming services, but Netflix is finally testing out ways to limit the freeloaders. According to circulated screenshots, some users have been prompted with an “Is this your account?” notification when they tried to log in, followed by a message that read “If you don’t live with the owner of this account, you need your own account to keep watching.” Though Netflix’s CEO once said password sharing is “something you have to learn to live with,” they’ve obviously changed their minds as their growth has gone global.
