Pinterest is experimenting with online events. As everything continues to go virtual during the pandemic, Pinterest is getting into online events by testing a new feature that will allow users to sign up for Zoom classes through their platform. Users will potentially be able to create and run “class communities” to teach things like latte art, meditation, or anything else Pinterest-worthy. They will also be able to use Pinterest’s class boards to organize class materials, notes, and other resources, or connect with attendees through a group chat function. During COVID, the platform has “become a popular tool for organizing remote learning resources” with teachers using its features to keep lesson plans organized, share inspiration, and more.
