Motorcycles are seeing a global increase in popularity during COVID. During the pandemic, young consumers have been renting and buying cars more, but two-wheeled vehicles are also gaining traction globally. New motorcycle registrations in the U.K. are up 31.2% compared to last September. Motorcycle and scooter sales in China, Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands also surpassed last spring’s benchmark. And in the U.S., motorcycle companies have reported their “strongest sales” in several years. In fact, YPulse’s Driving Forward trend research found that 7% of Millennials have purchased a motorcycle since COVID began. (Bloomberg) |
