YouTube’s biggest kid shows are taking over streaming services. Entertainment media company Moonbug is the owner of some of YouTube’s biggest channels, like Cocomelon and Blippi. One of their key strategies to reach a larger audience is to work with other platforms—and Netflix was a “very important one.” Cocomelon, which has nearly 100 million subscribers worldwide, made its debut on Netflix in June and was a hit almost immediately. It was the 10th most-watched show in the U.S., racked up 336 million minutes during the last week of August, and has constantly been trending ever since. (The Verge)
