Domestic travel is expected to “dominate” 2021. According to an Airbnb report, domestic travel continues to be their “bread and butter” during the pandemic with 62% of travelers saying they were looking to take a vacation “within driving distance.” Eighty-three percent of respondents were in favor of relocation as part of remote work, while 25% believed they’d be able to “live where they want” and continue working remotely. The Smoky Mountains, Breckenridge, Colorado, and Palm Springs, California are among the top destinations that replaced foreign countries like Rome, Paris, and London. YPulse’s travel report found that 41% of 13-39-year-olds have planned trips in the U.S. for the next year. (Adweek)
