Among Us continues to be the surprise gaming hit of the year. We told you how the two-year-old game Among Us has become massively popular among young gamers during the pandemic, and it’s only continuing to grow. According to YouTube, the game topped 4 billion views in September which include gameplay, animations, songs, and sketches. But during the COVID era, it has become more than just a game with many users (most of whom are 13-20-year-olds) using it as a way to socialize with friends. The game has been compared to Monopoly or party game Werewolf where players need to “read personalities and determine if they’re being lied to in order to win.” (NYTimes, Screen Rant)
