Gender-neutral clothing stores targeting Gen Z are popping up everywhere. Gen Z are the genreless generation, and retailers and brands are embracing their fluid gender definitions with stores dedicated to ungendered fashion. This month, Adidas is launching a gender-neutral concept store in London, which is specifically targeting 18-24-year-olds, and focusing on inclusivity and sustainability. To achieve gender-neutrality, they’re presenting items by sports and theme rather than gender. Meanwhile, when luxury retailer Browns debuted their Browns East store, gender-netural retail was a “natural choice” for them. They launched with the idea to target “slightly younger, more local clientele” than their other shops after seeing their customers “cross-shop” more and seeing the “synergy between menswear and womenswear.” (Vogue Business)
