Shopping is coming to Instagram’s Reels. Even though Instagram Reels just launched in August, the platform is already working hard to monetize the format as shoppable content continues to take off with young consumers. Facebook is going to begin testing shopping inside Reels later this year and will expand shoppable IGTV videos globally, with the goal to make videos available through Instagram Shop. Through it, users will be able to tap through an IGTV video and buy the products they’re interested in either through the Checkout feature or the seller’s site. (The Verge)
