Millennials are still using vacation days during the pandemic. While YPulse’s research shows that young people’s travel plans have been affected because of COVID, they still have a desire for escapes. And according to an Amex Trendex report, 46% of Millennials plan to take the same amount or more vacation days than last year, while the majority of consumers overall are taking fewer or none. Among Millennials who plan to take their time off, 38% say they will use them as mental health days. Travel plans have adjusted during this time: Thirty-nine percent of travelers have explored local destinations they wouldn’t have gone to if it weren’t for the pandemic, and 44% of consumers would pay more for a hotel where they can easily socially distance.
