After landing a partnership with Oracle and Walmart, TikTok isn’t slowing down with the brand partnerships and campaigns. In case you need a catchup on TikTok’s future here in the U.S.: Last week, President Trump tentatively approved a deal that makes Oracle and Walmart partners in the newly created, U.S.-based TikTok Global (with Oracle taking a 12.5% stake and Walmart a 7.5% stake). For Walmart, the move could help them to reach more Gen Z consumers with “sharpened targeted ads” and potentially events related to livestreaming shopping. Despite the continued uncertainty around the app’s fate, brands have still been rushing to launch campaigns on TikTok. Beauty brands like Freck, E.l.f., Ipsy, Maybelline, NYX Cosmetics, and Bliss have all released sponsored content since the beginning of August. (CNBC, CNBC, Glossy)
