WeWork’s newest users are campus-less college students. YPulse’s Gen Z’s Education Interrupted research has found that 77% of college students are attending school virtually—upending what higher education looks like for this generation. Now, to accommodate this new reality, WeWork has launched “We for Education,” a vertical to reach educational institutions and students. It was initially triggered by a private high school in New York looking for space to “de-densify,” but they have since marketed to universities and closed more than 100 deals globally. WeWork is also experimenting with a select number of locations in the suburbs to test demand for space among new remote workers. (CNN)
