Hundreds of thousands have registered to vote through Snapchat. YPulse’s Not Waiting for the World to Change trend report found that 75% of 13-39-year-olds like when brands encourage consumers to vote. Snapchat reports that 400,000 people registered via the app thanks to their recent roll out of voting tools. In coming weeks, the app is expected to debut PSAs and more content to get young voters amped up for the election season. Meanwhile, ridesharing app Uber has created a portal for users to register or request a ballot, while Lyft is giving free rides to voters in “underserved communities” through organizations like the Black Women’s Roundtable and the National Federation of the Blind.
