TikTok is hosting a digital fashion month. While the traditional “big four” fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan, and Paris are going forward with events, they will only be doing so with digital showcases, outdoor shows, and limited in-person capacity. So with annual fashion weeks impacted by COVID, TikTok is “filling the void” by hosting an “immersive” digital fashion month. In partnership with luxury designer brands like Louis Vuitton and Saint Laurent the platform will be featuring livestreamed runway shops, “exclusive drops,” and capsule collections. The event is yet another example of luxury brands’ increasing presence on TikTok to appeal to the next generation of shoppers. (CNN, Fashion Network)
