Beauty influencer events are back in style. Brands are getting the hang of pandemic marketing, and more beauty brands have even been hosting events—safely social distanced, of course. Dermalogica invited several influencers to an event in a “sprawling parking lot” of its LA headquarters where attendees got their own parking spot, and a table set up with products and snacks, and watched a live masterclass on how to use the brand’s new exfoliant. Cosmetics brand Jouer threw a drive-in movie-themed celebration for their new Champagne and Macarons collection. But of course the virtual event space continues to thrive as brands like Fenty Skin, Glow Recipe, and Tatcha utilize platforms like Animal Crossing and Zoom to promote their launches.
